The environmental awareness activities referent to the pilot area in “Area Florestal de Sines” took place at “Escola Básica Aldeia dos Chãos” (Santiago do Cacém), on December 6th. The students participated actively, very interested in the issue of climate change and the dynamics inherent to the Montado. As it has been customary for this campaign, the opportunity was taken to display samples of products from this unique ecosystem.
The Open Days of the pilot areas managed by the ICNF were a joint organization between ICNF (Instituto da Conservação da Natureza e Florestas) and ADPM (Associação de Defesa do Património de Mértola), with the incredible help of all teachers and staff of each of the schools: thank you all very much!
