In Villasbuenas de Gata, Caceres, the Open Day of the Dehesa Boyal de la Piedra took place on April 4. Within the space of environmental education action, the "panel game" was the environment for a children's tale of "La Escuelita del Bosque". Afterwards, the children had the opportunity to build, customize and place nest boxes for insectivorous birds on the property.

     

In addition to the presentation of the project by María Bastidas, ADPM technique, Manuel Bertomeu of the University of Extremadura gave a talk in the afternoon to present measures to adapt to climate change in the Serra de Gata, including the conversion of abandoned forest areas into agricultural areas with potential for the implementation of a wide diversity of crops such as blueberries, figs, nuts, hazelnuts, almonds and pomegranates.
