A demonstration, awareness and training session dedicated to the techniques of pruning (training and maintenance of adult trees, especially cork oak and holm oak), took place at the Estate of
Ribeira Abaixo,
Grândola, on November 23. The training, which is part of a series of decentralized training sessions organized by the LIFE Montado-Adapt project partners, was carried out by Fernanda Galvão, Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) and was supported by the forest fire fighters from that village.
