The Regional Open Day organized by EDIA, took place on April 5. The event, which was attended by the Secretary of State for Forestry and Development, representative of CCRD Alentejo, Regional Direction of Agriculture of Alentejo, the Mayor of Barrancos and the President of ADPM, was held in partnership with the Municipal Council of Barrancos, within the scope of ExpoBarrancos, with the main focus being the presentation of the expected impacts to the Montado due to climate change and the adaptation measures to be implemented in the LIFE Montado-Adapt Project.
Of the program, it’s still underlined the interventions of the researchers of the University of Évora and the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, who defended the themes "The decline of the Montado of hollow and cork tree" and the "Threat of Climate Change", respectively.
