In the first two months of 2019 there was intense work on the implementation of Integrated Land Use (ILU) in the various pilot areas, based on the Climate Change Adaptation Measures designed for this project. For example: diversification of forest areas with farming crops with market potential (Dehesa Boyal de la Piedra, Villasbuenas de Gata), implementation of hedgerows with apiculture interest and production of biochar (Villa Casablanca), foraging banks (Dehesa del Guijo), orchard plant in Keyline (Herdade do Freixo do Meio) and planting of pine trees inoculated with edible mushrooms (Herdade da Ribeira Abaixo).
