One of the best practices promoted in the Project is the Regulated Deficit Irrigation (RDI), considering the high temperatures felt in summer periods in the south of the Iberian Peninsula. This practice consists in the management of irrigation so that, throughout the plant cycle or at certain stages of the plant, the crop can be subjected to a moisture deficit / water stress (drought conditions) without negatively affecting its development and production. In this case, the aim is to ensure the survival of the planted trees.
